Selected for national juried Mayhem exhibition

Acid Rain, graphite on paper |
I was fortunate to have one of my drawings selected for the
Crystal City Gallery Underground's nationally juried exhibition "Mayhem: Art about chaos, disorder, and confusion.". One hundred and seventy-eight works of art were submitted from around the country. My drawing,
Acid Rain, was one of thirty-one works selected for the exhibition.
Acid Rain depicts me, covering my head, trying to deflect the kind of mayhem that falls on all of us on a daily basis. The "rain" includes concerns and issues such as health, politics, violence, environment, etc.The juror, Mark Cameron Boyd, an adjunct professor at the Corcoran School of Art in Washington, D.C., exhibited at American University’s Museum at Katzen Arts Center in 2006. Boyd has shown his work in many local and national exhibitions and was a 2007 Janet and Walter Sondheim Prize Semi-Finalist selected for exhibition at Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Maryland.
The exhibit runs from May 1-31. The opening reception is on Friday, May 2nd from 5-8PM. Contact me if you have questions or need the address for the gallery.
